At Mia: Artists in Their Own Words, an event for International World Book Day

What: Artists in Their Own Words

When: Sunday, April, 22 at 2 p.m.

Where: Minneapolis Institute of Art, Target Wing Reception Hall

Free, but tickets required

Hear the words of artists you admire as read by local artists and curators in an informal “coffee shop” atmosphere. Accompanied by illustrations of the artists in their studios, these short excerpts focus on artists’ sources of inspiration and words of advice about their art practice. Every person, culture, and civilization has a story to tell, and we will share a global perspective of visual artists throughout history. Also, browse through selected books from Mia’s Library. Light refreshments served.

Presented by the Library Affinity Group in celebration of International World Book Day.
